The Mozilla Foundation has released Firefox 2.0.0.10. This version addresses the following security vulnerabilities
- MFSA 2007-39 Referer-spoofing via window.location race condition
- MFSA 2007-38 Memory corruption vulnerabilities (rv:1.8.1.10)
- MFSA 2007-37 jar: URI scheme XSS hazard
If you are not yet on this version of Firefox, I would highly recommend that you download the update.
On a different note, don’t you think we are seeing far too many security releases for Firefox these days? Are these signs of lapses in their development and testing processes or just the fact that Firefox popularity and its resultant hack attempts are on the rise?
