Internet Phone Cards from Pingo

Pingo provides prepaid calling services for consumers and businesses with an aim to deliver the best calling card experience. They strive to provide good quality and customer service along with competitive rates for the prepaid internet phone card.

What seems exciting about Pingo is the fact that there is no additional services charges. They do charge a nominal monthly maintenance fee though; but its clearly mentioned and not a “hidden cost”.

Their services are aimed to make sure end consumers can get their task done at their own convenience. For instance, Pingo RateWatcher™ will provide you with the details of prepaid calling card offers to see if you’re getting the best deal or not.

For a limited time, Pingo is offering the Readers of TechNotes up to 5 hours of free International calls just for signing up for Pingo. You need to use the special phone card blog discount coupon: “ppp3” valid for $3 off Pingo.

Pingo prepaid cards can help you save up to 90% on your International cell phone calls. Not only that, if you’re are a blogger and want to join their affiliate program, you can earn $15 for each new customer you refer.

The fact that over 1.1 billion Internet phone card minutes are used via Pingo clearly goes to show that their are good and what they do.

I would recommend Pingo. Give it a try and let us know whether you were satisfied with their service or not.

Deadly Excel 2007 Bug

Excel 2007 Bug @ TechNotes

Slashdot is carrying an article on a deadly Excel 2007 Bug.

What is 850*77.1?

You say 65,535? Correct! Errr…Wrong according to Excel 2007. Excel 2007 reports it as 100,000.

Well…till a patch is not made available, its highly recommended that you don’t use Excel 2007 to make any strategic decisions. It could cause a major disaster to your company and to your career!!

Lotus Symphony: Free Office Suite from IBM

IBM has released a free version of its Office Suite called Lotus Symphony.

Lotus Symphony is currently in Beta (Beta #1) and is available for Windows and Linux. The Beta features three products — Documents, Spreadsheets, and Presentations.

This is surely going to make the Office market that much more exciting. This is hopefully going to take on Microsoft’s Office Suite head on. OpenOffice is another alternative free Office Suite that is backed by Sun; and not to forget Google’s own online office suite called Google Docs.

Things will only get better for consumers…. :-)
